US Sports News Editor Job Description

Our dynamic sports editorial team is looking for a highly skilled and experienced editor to join our fast-paced environment.

We are one of the leading sports entertainment digital media publications in the world, garnering over 100 million page views every month.

The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying facts, proofreading and enhancing content quality before publication.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Editing and publishing articles daily with high accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensuring the highest level of quality by proofreading articles, checking plagiarism and researching fact veracity.
  • Mentoring and guiding writers to refine their quality, output and performance.
  • Coordinating the smooth daily operations of writers in the sport division.

Requirements include:

  • A minimum of 6-12 months of experience in proofreading and/or content editing.
  • Previous experience of leading a team of writers would be an additional plus.
