Job Title:

Database Administrator

About the Role:

This challenging role requires an experienced Database Administrator with hands-on expertise in Peoplesoft to ensure high performance, security, and reliability of the database.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Peoplesoft Upgrade Management: Install, configure, and maintain Peoplesoft upgrades to meet business needs.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Resolve issues related to Peoplesoft upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Database Backup and Recovery: Develop and execute database backup and recovery processes to prevent data loss.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize database performance and scalability to support business growth.
  • Security Policies: Develop and maintain database security policies to protect sensitive data.
  • Database Development: Develop and manage databases, tables, views, and other database objects to support business applications.
  • User Privileges: Create and manage database users and user privileges to ensure secure access.
  • Audit and Monitoring: Audit and monitor database performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Perform database troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve complex issues.
  • Upgrades and Patching: Perform database upgrades and patching to ensure systems are up-to-date.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with application teams to ensure optimal database performance and alignment with business objectives.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 6-12 years of experience in database administration.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of Peoplesoft and its various modules, experience with database backup and recovery processes, and knowledge of database security policies and best practices.
  • Qualifications: Ability to optimize database performance and scalability, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of database systems.
