As a senior business development professional, you will be responsible for implementing the strategy to set up and develop the broking channel in the designated territory. This involves setting up and managing a pool of 8-10 branches of partners and overseeing revenue generation from these branches.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Identifying potential leads and sources for prospective customers
  • Connecting with respective branches of these partners and organizing training for employees and channel partners
  • Generating leads through joint calls along with partner employees/sub-partners
  • Ensuring quality business is sourced from the branches/sub-partners of the partner
  • Contracting with Max Life for process/products/technology
  • Developing an understanding of products and coaching staff on product USPs
  • Ensuring product mix and controlling leakage and persistency
  • Extending external networks with key insurance distributors across partner branches and increasing MLI wallet share
  • Proactive distribution engagement with decision-makers for effective operations in business partnerships

  • Industry knowledge: Bringing through knowledge of the industry, understanding challenges, and providing strategic direction
  • Client relationship: Proactively identifying, approaching, and enhancing strong relationships with key executives, decision-makers, and influencers at partner branches
  • Client advocate: Leveraging the benefits and positioning of MLI products and services and able to recognize opportunities

  • Business plan achievement
  • Adj MFYP (Rs.) - Plan vs Actuals
  • Customer score quality
  • 13th-month persistency (%)
  • GIR

The key competencies required for this role are:

  • Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills

  • Full understanding/experience of handling partners
  • Experience in managing strategic initiatives, programs, and trainings
  • Coaching partner employees

The desired qualifications and experience for this role are:

  • Graduate with 2-3 years of experience in sales or distributor management; prior experience in insurance essential
  • Result orientation, customer centricity, problem-solving
