Managing Director of Accounts Payable Operations

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Payables Manager to lead and oversee our accounts payable function, ensuring robust financial performance and accurate records.
This role is responsible for strategic and operational leadership over the Payables team and function. You will work closely with the CFO/Financial Director to achieve financial goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and manage all payments, vendor invoices, and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Develop, implement, and monitor payables policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, compliance, and control.
- Lead and manage a team of professionals, including hiring, training, goal setting, and ongoing development.
- Review, validate, and approve invoices to ensure adherence to company policies, contractual terms, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors and resolve payment disputes or queries efficiently.
- Manage accurate records and reconciliations, overseeing month-end and year-end closing processes for payables.
- Optimize payables processes, automation, and risk prevention controls to minimize risks and improve efficiency.
- Prepare, analyze, and report on payables metrics, including aging, cash flow, forecasts, and performance.
- Collaborate with procurement, treasury, and accounting teams to ensure alignment and timely payments.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA/MBA preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
- Strong expertise in payables processes, team leadership, and compliance management.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and advanced MS Excel.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
