Job Opportunity: Technical Support Specialist

The company is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintaining various software and hardware systems.

  • About the Role:
  • This is a highly technical position that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Product Support:
    • Provide configuration support for access control and CCTV systems.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues related to these systems.
    • Provide remote support to internal clients on system configuration.
    • Identify and analyze system failures and provide support to on-site technicians for break-fix.
    • Track system issues through to resolution within agreed time limits.
    • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams.
    • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals at a dedicated file depository/knowledgebase.
  • Application Server Support:
    • Install and configure security system applications on servers.
    • Monitor application services hosted on servers 24x7.
    • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Respond promptly and professionally to emergency service calls during and outside office hours.
    • Collaborate with other team members to establish best practices and decision-making processes.
    • Work independently as required.
    • Report to senior management to ensure satisfaction of work.
    • Participate in departmental meetings.

Requirements:

  • Essential Skills:
  • Strong understanding of access control and CCTV systems.
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of these systems.
  • Familiarity with CCURE 9000 and CCURE GO software and related hardware.
  • Knowledge of enterprise CCTV systems such as Intellicene (Cognyte/Verint) Symphia VMS, Genetec video solutions.
  • Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • SQL experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell programming.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Working Hours:

  • Shift work including night shifts.
  • 9 hours per day, 5 days per week.
