Job Title: Production Support Service Engineer - Tax Systems

Description

The ideal candidate will have expertise in indirect taxation, including sales and use tax, VAT, GST, and withholding tax across various jurisdictions.

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to provide comprehensive production support for Vertex tax management systems and their integration with ERP platforms. This role requires both taxation expertise and technical troubleshooting capabilities to ensure accurate tax calculations and seamless system operations across multiple jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting Vertex Tax Calculation Rules, Tax Jurisdictions, and Product Taxability Assignments. They will also support ERP integrations with Vertex, ensure accuracy of tax rates, exemptions, and tax determinations, and manage Tax Configuration, Tax Categories, and Exemption Certificates within Vertex.

In addition, the candidate will be responsible for supporting Tax Reporting and Compliance, including generating reports for tax filing and audit purposes. They will handle Tax Accruals and Reconciliations to ensure General Ledger accuracy, provide timely solutions to users, and document resolution steps and knowledge base articles.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills for complex tax calculation issues and experience with SOX audit requirements for tax processes. They should also be proficient in SQL and data analysis, have knowledge of tax calculation rules, jurisdictions, and product taxability assignments, and experience troubleshooting API integrations and data feeds.
