Service Engineer - Zawar Mine

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

Promote a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility.

Enforce housekeeping and minimize fluid/oil leaks to prevent contamination.

Promote "Take 5" SHE reporting and the 5S program.

Lead by example in safety and uphold Epiroc values.

Technical & Operational Support

Provide mechanical and electrical support for scheduled and breakdown repairs.

Ensure effective repair and performance of all contract equipment.

Drive asset optimization, preventive maintenance compliance, and equipment performance (Availability, MTTR, MTBF, meters drilled).

Deliver accurate data for equipment cost models and planning tools.

Contract & Service Management

Assist in managing the Epiroc India contract to deliver first-class service.

Educate the team on contract management and ensure compliance.

Review contract performance regularly to align with customer needs.

Ensure service delivery meets stakeholder expectations and timelines.

Align services with Epiroc guidelines and contractual obligations.

Team Development & Leadership

Develop team competence and confidence to meet industry benchmarks.

Ensure technicians have SL1/SL2 certifications and OEM SOP training.

Implement mentoring and learning validation processes.

Take personal accountability for development and contribute improvement ideas.

Encourage work-life balance and uphold Epiroc values.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

Promote Kaizen and innovation in work procedures.

Stay updated with industry best practices and adapt them to EMIPL models.

Communicate and implement improvements effectively.

Strive for benchmark practices and cutting-edge technology.

Stakeholder & Customer Engagement

Build proactive internal and external relationships.

Maximize customer availability, reliability, and profitability.

Ensure accurate monthly client charges with proper documentation.

Clarify stakeholder needs and manage expectations.

Qualifications:

Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience & must have handled a team of at least fifteen trade people.

Experience in Underground drill jumbo and production drill.

Exposure to working in a large contract Environment.

Demonstrable understanding of equipment costs and operating influences on costs.

Exposure to reliability engineering

Knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting.

Good communication skills oral & written

Sound report writing skills

Financial acumen and understanding of cost implications and costing models.

Understanding equipment reliability and availability requirements and implications

Solid ability to plan and organise work.

Demonstrate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work through others to achieve goals and objectives

Conflict management skills

Sound customer liaison and negotiation skills.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong personality, able to work independent.

Result oriented with strong ability to execute.

Well organized & Systematic.

Ability to communicate effectively with people at various level of organization.

Strong written, oral & interpersonal communication skills including communication with non-technical people.
