Join a dynamic team of billing experts as a Revenue Cycle Specialist.

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the revenue cycle process from start to finish. This includes reviewing and analyzing unpaid or underpaid insurance claims, contacting insurance companies to identify reasons for denials, delays, or discrepancies in payments, and taking necessary actions to resolve outstanding claims.

You will also be responsible for verifying that payments received from insurance companies match the expected reimbursement amounts, investigating and reconciling any discrepancies, preparing and submitting appeals for denied or underpaid claims, and monitoring the progress of appeals and resubmissions.

Maintaining detailed records of all interactions and actions taken regarding accounts receivable and generating reports on AR aging, collection efforts, and outstanding balances are also key responsibilities of this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some college coursework in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing and coding procedures, including CPT and ICD-10 codes
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex billing issues
  • Familiarity with healthcare billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
