Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager to oversee the implementation, integration, and enhancement of our retail point-of-sale system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, architects, and product specialists. Allocate resources efficiently to meet project deadlines.
  • Process Improvement: Promote and implement best practices for software development and project management. Regularly review and refine processes to improve efficiency.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all project phases. Generate and distribute regular status reports to stakeholders and senior management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of IT experience, preferably with 2+ years of program management experience.
  • 5+ years of project management and/or related experience.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience.
  • A strong foundation in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience managing agile projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into roadmaps.
  • Proven expertise making tradeoffs between business needs and technology constraints.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Project experience with Xstore or Point of Sale (POS) systems or in the Retail domain.
  • A good understanding of Java, Oracle DB, and Web services.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional and global teams.
  • A strong grasp of design and product concepts.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification.
  • Experience with JIRA tool.
  • Collaborative experience with North American counterparts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in process gap analysis and implementing best practices.
