The primary objective of this role is to provide exceptional accounting services and support within the finance division. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate financial analyses, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger (GL) accounting system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage accounting personnel, providing coaching and guidance to ensure high-quality results.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform monthly close procedures, including allocations, accruals, and G/L postings.
  • Monitor and maintain the GL accounting system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve accounting processes and efficiency.
  • Counsel and discipline employees as necessary to ensure a productive and respectful work environment.
  • Support budgeting, financial statement preparation, loan covenants, cash-flow monitoring, and variance analysis.
  • Correspond with banks and other agencies to resolve issues and respond to inquiries.
  • Assist with audit preparation and responses.
  • Meet contractual commitments through timely and accurate reporting and issue resolution.
  • Perform other job-related duties as directed by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Between 12-15 years of experience in accounting at both a transactional & analysis level.
  • Strong audit background (preferably Big-4 or similar).
  • Experience with multi-company / divisional financials, budgeting, and job costing highly desirable.
  • Strong English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong understanding and experience with accrual accounting.
  • Intermediate level of understanding and experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; strict attention to detail.
