Accounting Manager Job Summary

The Accounting Manager is a critical role in supporting the Vice President of Accounting by providing meticulous, organized professional services for comprehensive accounting support within the Finance division.

Responsibilities:

  • Support superior management level by delivering precise and detailed professional services for complete cycle accounting support.
  • Conduct timely and accurate financial analyses of entities to inform business decisions.
  • Closure: allocations, accruals, and prompt financial statement preparation to meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Maintain integrity of the General Ledger (GL) accounting system, specifically the chart of accounts and subaccount list, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Update and maintain policies & procedure documentation to facilitate effective business operations.
  • Assist in managing staff performance through coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and assessment.
  • G/L postings, fixed assets/depreciation, cost-center allocations, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilities support to optimize financial performance.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations and transactional review to detect and correct discrepancies.
  • Monthly revenue and expense analysis to drive informed business decisions.
  • Assist with budgeting, financial statement, loan covenants, cash-flow monitoring, and variance analysis to enhance financial management.
  • Correspond with banks and other agencies for issue resolution and responses to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Assist with audit preparation and responses to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Meet contractual commitments to clients through timely and accurate reporting and issue resolution.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as SAP or Oracle.
