MuleSoft API Test Engineer Job Description

As a skilled MuleSoft API Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and validating MuleSoft APIs to ensure they meet business and technical requirements. Your expertise in API testing tools and strong understanding of REST/SOAP will enable you to design detailed test strategies and plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated API test scripts using ReadyAPI or Postman.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless integration with development teams.
  • Identify, log, track, and retest defects using JIRA to maintain high-quality software.
  • Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Write complex SQL queries for backend data verification to ensure accurate results.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in API testing, with 3+ years in MuleSoft API testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, and ReadyAPI.
  • Knowledge of MuleSoft platform components and architecture.
  • Strong understanding of HTTP, JSON, XML, OAuth2, JWT, and API security standards.
