Job Overview:

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to design, develop and execute automated tests ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes and best practices, as well as proficiency in automation testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium or Cucumber.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand project requirements and identify test scenarios suitable for automation
  • Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate automation tools and frameworks
  • Execute automated test scripts to validate functionality, performance and reliability of software applications
  • Identify and report defects using bug tracking tools, providing detailed information and steps to reproduce
  • Perform regression testing to ensure changes or updates do not introduce new issues
  • Collaborate with development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing clear and concise information about test results and defects
  • Continuously enhance and optimize automated test suites to improve efficiency and coverage
  • Participate in test plan and test case reviews, providing feedback and suggestions for improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (CS, IT, etc.) or Post Graduate Degree in Computer Applications (MCA)
  • Proven experience of 4+ years as an Automation Tester or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes and best practices
  • Proficiency in automation testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium or Cucumber
  • Experience in designing and developing automation test scripts using scripting languages (e.g. Java, Python or JavaScript)
  • Solid understanding of test automation frameworks and their implementation
  • Familiarity with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills to effectively communicate test results and issues to the development team
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
