Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Technical Support Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for the underlying application, releases, and infrastructure of a leading financial institution.
  • Act and make decisions on behalf of both the bank and the securities business under a dual-hat arrangement, subject to the same remit and level of authority.
  • Support UK hours, participate in overnight support rota, and weekend work as required.
  • Document technical requirements or processes to capture the configuration being performed.
  • Work with third-party software providers and adhere to pre-defined application standards.
  • Apply industry experience and ensure solutions incorporate 'best practice.'
  • Collaborate with neighboring technology and project teams to ensure changes are rolled out in a coordinated manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with vendor applications such as Cash Management (CMS) version 4, Control Process Designer, and Smart Schema.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to converse with various teams (unix/database/application).
  • Familiarity with Change Requests, CAB attendance, and weekend code rollouts.
  • Knowledge of Oracle 19 SQL scripting, Linux shell scripting, JBoss 8 server configuration, GitHub software management, and CI/CD pipeline deployment.
  • Ability to package and manage configuration/code changes into releases and apply to production.
