The Role

This is a senior leadership position within our Commercial Data team. As an Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a team of engineers to develop innovative solutions that power our Real Commercial products.

Your typical responsibilities will include:

  • Leading cross-disciplinary teams to deliver complex initiatives under agile methodologies.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Contributing to the design and architecture of scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions.
  • Establishing effective ways of working within and across teams.
  • Embracing continuous learning and staying updated on the latest web development trends.

You'll have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, collaborate with global teams, and drive delivery practices that ensure timely and quality results.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an experienced developer who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys tackling technical challenges, and has a passion for leading teams to deliver innovative solutions.

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in software development, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical skills, including SQL, Python, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, data pipelines, data consumption, data analysis, and documentation.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions that scale and perform well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Bonus points if you have experience with BigQuery/PostgreSQL/MSSQL, Python libraries (Pandas, Requests, JSON), Docker, Kafka, Linux shell scripting, Git/GitHub, AWS (S3, Lambda, IaC), Airflow, and interacting with REST APIs.
