Technical Project Manager - Data Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and deliver projects in data engineering and analytics.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and analytics workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and deliver technical projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and success metrics.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Track project progress using tools like Jira, Confluence, and report status to stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project blockers and dependencies.
  • Ensure all technical documentation is current and aligned with project goals.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management within a technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall).
  • Proficient with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).

A successful candidate will possess excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires a highly motivated and organized individual who can work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
