VMware Administrator Job Description

Our organization seeks a skilled VMware administrator to oversee virtualization infrastructure management. This role requires expertise in VMWare vSphere administration, cloud technology (AWS and Azure), version control systems (Git), infrastructure as code (IaC) Terraform, CloudFormation, Crossplane, Windows, and Linux operating system administration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestrator, and scripting languages (Ansible, PowerShell Azure, AWS API integration)
  • Containerization Orchestration Docker, Kubernetes, CICD Pipelines Jenkins, GitLab CI
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM) AWS IAM, Azure AD, disaster recovery backup solutions Commvault, Networking Fundamentals DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Load Balancers

The ideal candidate will possess strong ITIL framework change management skills, with experience in performance tuning and capacity planning.
