Lead Software Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead our engineering efforts.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a technical leader to shape the future of our software development.

  • Define and execute the technical strategy for our Crew software, ensuring alignment with our reference architecture, data standards, and modernization priorities.
  • Pave the way for squads to deliver autonomously by removing technology blockers, decoupling applications, and streamlining processes.
  • Plan, design, and oversee the implementation of solutions; assist squads in identifying the right technologies and ensuring sound architectural decisions.
  • Collaborate with chapter leads on defining and forecasting crew tech capability requirements, and support the implementation of practices, tooling, and training provided in the crew.
  • Drive operational excellence and support teams responsible for mission-critical production services with diverse stakeholders and complex dependencies.
  • Ensure delivery within funding allocation, active management, and mitigation of delivery and delivered risk.
  • Accountable for the development, performance management, and career progression of several Technology roles.
Key Qualifications:
  • Broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks used, with experience or exposure to some key areas:
  • Sound knowledge of large-scale distributed systems, Microservices, and Rest API Integration.
  • Cloud - AWS large scale data warehouse implementation experience.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML and Gen AI applications and how they can enhance software engineering processes.
  • Experience building RAGs using LlamaIndex, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
  • Preferably have experience building Agentic AI systems using AutoGen, CrewAI, Pydantic, or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript or C#) and experience developing microservices architecture on cloud platforms.
  • A keen interest in researching new AI tooling and daily user of AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Continue, GitHub CoPilot, Aider, Cline, etc.
  • Knowledge of or experience in Anthropic Claude, Llama, LiteLLM, Cursor, windsurf / Codeium, VO Vercel, Continue, Aider, Cline, Langchain, Langgraph, Hugging Face highly desirable.
  • Strong technical leadership skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders to solve business-critical problems.
  • Ability to provide technical direction to teams, reviewing designs and code to ensure best practices.
