AV/ADAS Test Engineer Role Summary

This role focuses on ensuring the reliability and safety of autonomous vehicle systems through comprehensive testing and validation.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Perception, Planning, and Control Algorithms: Validate perception, planning, and control algorithms in simulated and real-world environments to ensure system efficiency.
  • Create Comprehensive Test Plans: Develop and execute thorough test plans for AV/ADAS functions to guarantee system reliability.
  • Analyze Test Data: Identify issues in test data and develop effective solutions to improve system performance.
  • Document Results and Raise Bugs: Document test results and report bugs using JIRA to streamline the development process.
  • Collaborate with Sensor Experts: Work with sensor technology experts to integrate RADAR, LIDAR, and camera systems into autonomous vehicles.
  • Apply Automotive Standards: Ensure compliance with automotive standards, including ISO 26262 and ASPICE, by applying knowledge of industry regulations.
  • Develop Closed-Loop Simulations: Create simulations for closed-loop testing involving perception, localization, and planning modules to enhance system accuracy.
  • Utilize Automation Tools: Streamline testing processes by utilizing automation tools, preferably Python, to increase efficiency.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4-8 years of experience in AV/ADAS testing or related fields.
  • Understanding ADAS Functions: Strong understanding of ADAS functions and their implementation.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python.
  • Simulation Tool Familiarity: Familiarity with simulation tools and methodologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
