Job Description

Pocket FM is a leading audio entertainment platform that powers a new generation of storytelling through audiobooks, audio series, and podcasts.

The company is looking for a talented Web Engineer to join its growing web team. The successful candidate will play a key role in building and optimizing high-performance, scalable, and intuitive web applications that reach millions of users daily.

The ideal candidate should have 4–6 years of experience in frontend development with strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, and modern web ecosystems.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Design, develop, and maintain highly responsive and interactive web applications.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Own end-to-end delivery – from technical design to deployment and monitoring.
  • Optimize for speed, scalability, SEO, and accessibility.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern web frameworks and tools.
  • Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and bugs and resolve them.
  • Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Additionally, the following skills are desirable:

  • Experience with state management tools like Redux, Zustand, or Recoil.
  • Solid understanding of web performance, browser rendering, and SEO best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a good grasp of data structures and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and frontend build tools like Webpack, Vite, etc.
  • Experience in writing unit and integration tests (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
  • A good sense of UX/UI and a keen eye for detail.
