Backend Developer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on backend development and enhancement of web applications with a strong emphasis on RESTful API development and cloud-based architecture.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a strong multi-tasker, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They will design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance RESTful APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, and Python. The successful candidate will also provide advanced-level support by resolving complex technical issues and performing detailed root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain integrations with various AWS services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, etc.).
  • Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases to design schemas, optimize queries, and ensure efficient data operations.
  • Implement secure API access mechanisms, including OAuth, JWT, and other authentication authorization methods.
  • Monitor and improve application performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, QA teams, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Primary Skills:
  • Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node.js for backend development.
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting and backend components.
  • In-depth experience with RESTful API design and development.
  • Practical knowledge of AWS Cloud Services, particularly Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, IAM, S3, CloudWatch.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
  • Version control using Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
  • Strong troubleshooting and L3 support capabilities for production environments.
