Job Description:

As a senior leader in fund accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing key accountabilities and main responsibilities. This includes strategic focus, operational management, people leadership, and governance & risk.

Strategic Focus:

  • Develop and implement thought leadership initiatives to enhance team efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to streamline fund administration processes.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to adopt and execute overall strategy.
  • Identify risks, cost efficiencies, and operational improvements.

Operational Management:

  • Deliver high-quality client service and review client reports and financial statements.
  • Ensure adherence to US GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Manage technical research and documentation.
  • Address and resolve technical accounting issues.
  • Prepare and present performance and risk reports.
  • Oversee the review and delivery of financial statements and other accounting reports.

People Leadership:

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the accounting team.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, conduct employee performance reviews, and foster professional growth.
  • Develop exceptional leadership skills and capabilities.

Governance & Risk:

  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  • Liaise effectively with senior-level stakeholders to communicate issues, risks, and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and accounting practices.

Experience & Personal Attributes:

Educational and Professional Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant or Master's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Finance.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Fund Accounting within the financial services industry, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead a medium-sized team.
  • Ability to support senior leadership in the adoption and execution of accounting review standards and best practices.
