Job Description:

The Reconciliation Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions. Key responsibilities include gathering, posting, and reconciling payments received by the Revenue Team on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

This individual will independently resolve complex problems, leveraging their in-depth knowledge of reconciliation processes and solid understanding of industry standards and practices to ensure seamless operations.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure. Effective communication and collaboration are essential for success in this role.

About the Role:

  • Gather and post payments received by the Revenue Team
  • Reconcile transactions to ensure accounting systems reflect correct information
  • Research and correct keying errors as needed
  • Document root causes and discrepancies, generating reports based on department protocols
  • Amend appropriate systems to reconcile payments
  • Identify trends in improved internal processes and systems
  • Conform to defined platform, client, payer, and/or internal standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A relevant accounting degree with 3-7 years of experience
  • Good knowledge of technical accounting principles
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications and software applications
