Transformative Data Architect

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to work on modernizing data infrastructures, architecture, and pipelines for our clients.

Our clients have ambitious missions - creating new products in uncharted markets.

We work closely with our clients' development and data teams, bringing senior engineers, leading-edge technologies, and creative thinking.

In this role, you'll be the primary point of contact with our clients to design, develop, deploy, and support the modernization and transformation of their end-to-end data strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing cloud-first strategies for core business initiatives
  • Providing thought leadership on process and technical matters
  • Becoming a champion and trusted advisor to our clients on all facets of data engineering
  • Mentoring client's teams to keep them up to speed with the latest approaches, tools, and skills

Requirements:

  • Must have either Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate or Fabric Data Engineer Associate
  • Experience working in consulting or contracting capacity in large data management and modernization programs
  • Experience with SQL Servers, data engineering on platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse
  • Strong knowledge of Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture
  • Strong knowledge of securing Azure environment, RBAC, Key Vault, and Azure Security Center
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to get to the root of an issue quickly
  • Strong knowledge of Scala or Python
  • Strong knowledge of Linux administration and networking
  • Scripting skills and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using PowerShell, Bash, and ARM templates
  • Understanding of security and corporate governance issues related to cloud-first data architecture
  • Experience enabling continuous delivery for development teams using scripted cloud provisioning and automated tooling
  • Experience working with Agile development methodology
  • Sound business judgment and demonstrated leadership
