Job Overview

The Artefact company is a global consulting services organization that helps businesses unlock the full potential of their data.

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to oversee the full lifecycle of our data engineering solutions, from strategic design to hands-on implementation. As a key architect, you will build secure and scalable data platforms while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure data architectures meeting business requirements.
  • Implement data solutions on AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud platforms.
  • Define and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Evaluate new technologies to improve our data infrastructure and practices.
  • Create detailed documentation of data architecture, flows, and processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with latest trends and best practices in data architecture and cloud computing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8-12 years' experience with 3+ years in data architecture or similar role.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing data solutions on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native data services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena, EMR (AWS), Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks (Azure), BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc (GCP).
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
