Quality Assurance Manager Role

 

Job Description:

The Quality Assurance Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the maintenance of quality standards within an organization. This involves undertaking QA activities, preparing quality documents, producing quality procedures, developing new suppliers, and training them to meet required quality standards.

Additionally, the Quality Assurance Manager conducts inward material inspections, existing supplier visits, and undertakes process and final inspection activities as desired. They will also prepare QA manuals, maintain control and supervision of amendments and revisions, monitor all quality-related activities on projects, and perform internal and external audits.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting inward material inspections and existing supplier visits.
  • Preparing QA manuals and maintaining control over amendments and revisions.
  • Monitoring all quality-related activities on projects and performing internal and external audits.
  • Participating in internal and external quality meetings and reviewing quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements.
  • Coordinating QA/QC activities with production supervisors, engineering teams, and sourcing engineers.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need a University Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with minimum 8-10 years of experience in a similar role. You should have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess sound knowledge of weld and piping standards followed in the industry.

Working knowledge of NDT, Hydrotest, and international codes such as ASME/API/TEMA/IEC/IS/DIN/ATEX/CCOE is essential. Level 2/3 weld certification course is an added advantage, as is certification in painting inspection like NACE Level II / III or OSHE OR FROSIO Level 3.

Fluency in spoken and written English, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and orientation in modern IT structures and processes are also required. As a team player, you should be self-driven, creative, and able to improve and maintain quality.
