Job Title: Purchasing and Product Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Home Décor category as a Purchasing and Product Development Manager. This key role is responsible for developing seasonal and category-wise buying plans for furniture, lighting, planters, and tableware products.

About the Role:
  • Develop strategic buying plans to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Analyze sales trends, inventory movement, and forecast demand to optimize stock planning.
  • Maintain accurate trackers for vendor management, payments, logistics, returns, and damages.
  • Conduct market research to curate relevant product assortments that meet customer needs.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiations, sampling, POs, and timely deliveries to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Collaborate with stores and warehouses for stock audits, replenishment, and inventory flow to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Work closely with marketing and ecommerce teams on launches, campaigns, and product uploads to drive sales and brand visibility.
Requirements:
  • 4–6 years of experience in Buying & Merchandising (preferably in home décor, furniture, or lifestyle retail).
  • Proficiency in Excel and inventory/merchandising systems (SAP, ERP, Wondersoft, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills to build strong relationships with vendors.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to drive team performance.
  • Familiarity with B2C, experiential, or lifestyle retail formats preferred.
