Procurement Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to manage our electrical purchases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical Engineering or a related field and significant experience in procurement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate vendors for electrical products (cables, switchgears, panels, etc.) and finalize contracts with the best options.
  • Prepare price comparison sheets, negotiate for favorable terms, and review purchase orders to ensure compliance.
  • Assess Single Line Diagrams and Bill of Quantities to guarantee purchases meet project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain accurate vendor lists, source new suppliers, and conduct quality audits to ensure reliability.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams for efficient dispatches, tracking, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Monitor procurement records (quotations, POs, payments) to guarantee transparency and accuracy.
  • Ensure all purchases adhere to established guidelines and budget allocations.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in electrical procurement within a trading company.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
