Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our organization as an Executive. As a key member of the Pre-Clinical Pathology Lab, you will be responsible for planning and executing blood collection from laboratory animals, monitoring anesthesia/euthanasia, and preparing necropsy examinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute blood collection from various laboratory animals including rodents, non-human primates, and other species as required.
  • Monitor anesthesia/euthanasia of laboratory animals to ensure humane treatment and minimize stress.
  • Prepare and conduct necropsy examinations to determine cause of death or disease in laboratory animals.
  • Conduct and monitor tissue trimming, processing, block making, sectioning, slide staining of various studies to ensure accurate histopathological examination.
  • Perform histopathological slide reading for toxicity and efficacy studies to provide accurate diagnosis and interpretation.
  • Monitor histopathological slide preparation and slide reading to ensure high quality results.
  • Prepare histopathological reports for various pre-clinical studies to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Conduct and monitor clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation parameters, and urine analysis to assess animal health and detect potential issues.
  • Implement and maintain high standard quality control checks for in-house biochemical analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Prepare SOPs related to pathology area to standardize procedures and improve efficiency.
  • Control and supervise maintenance and operation of histopathology-related instruments to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Review in-house test results to ensure accuracy and identify any potential issues.
  • Participate in planning and execution of pharmacological evaluation projects to contribute to the development of new treatments.
  • Assume allied responsibilities as required to support the team and achieve organizational goals.
Allied Responsibilities:
  • Ensure availability of required chemicals and materials for projects to prevent delays and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Provide RQA comments on SOPs, Protocols, Reports, and study audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Plan and execute health monitoring of animals and employees to prevent illness and injury.
  • Collect samples, analyze/dispatch samples for various analyses to support research and development.
  • Prepare and execute calibration schedules for pathology-related equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules for pathology lab-related equipment to extend its lifespan.
