Key Account Manager

Job Summary:

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve sales targets by driving market penetration and optimizing product availability.
  • Identify high-potential towns, establish partnerships with distributors, train them on company processes and systems, and allocate resources based on market potential.
  • Foster relationships with customers to understand their needs, drive sales, and increase the variety of products stocked.
  • Conduct daily sales calls to coach team members, optimize orders, check stock levels, and ensure proper merchandising at each customer location.
  • Negotiate contracts that benefit both parties, ensuring account objectives are met while satisfying customer needs.
  • Ensure products are displayed and maintained in accordance with company expectations to maximize availability and sales potential.
  • Demonstrate the value of company products from a customer's perspective.
  • Influence customers to maintain optimal stock levels and manage accounts receivable.
  • Conduct regular reviews of channel performance and create strategies to address underperforming channels.
  • Encourage distributors to carry stock and adhere to planned routes to support trade promotions.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets through accurate forecasting.
  • Build a quality database of customers, territory information, and competitive landscape analysis.
  • Integrate digital customer experiences with customer lifecycle management to support demand creation and retention.
  • Operate in compliance with regulatory requirements.
