Technical Leadership and Design Manager

We are seeking an experienced Technical Leadership and Design Manager to lead our technical teams in the design of EHV substations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in managing multi-disciplinary design teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the detailed design of EHV substations, including equipment layouts, single line diagrams, protection and control schemes, and grounding systems.
  • Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards and guidelines.
  • Oversee preparation and review of technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Guide design optimization for cost-effectiveness, reliability, and ease of construction.

Project Coordination and Delivery:

  • Coordinate with project management, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure design milestones are met.
  • Support project tendering with technical inputs and assist in bid clarifications.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and OEMs for design approvals and technical discussions.

Team Management and Development:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplinary design team of engineers and draftsmen.
  • Conduct regular design reviews and quality checks.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or relevant substation design courses are desirable.
