Electrical Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing innovative electrical systems for power converters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop product hardware specifications and requirements.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of electrical design and firmware control, focusing on high-level system integration.
  • Maintain development progress and create test plans to ensure electrical, environmental, and functional compliance.
  • Perform reliability analysis (FMEA) to identify potential safety or liability concerns.
  • Coordinate and track product milestones with the project manager and cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee updates to Design for Excellence and Engineering Change Notices, as well as product life cycle management.
  • Guide the team in adhering to established technical standards during product development.
  • Research new concepts to drive future product innovation.
  • Identify cost-effective technological alternatives suitable for scaling up.
  • Validate design concepts through a combination of circuit simulations and prototyping.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation, including bills of materials, circuit diagrams, and design-related documents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8-12 years of experience.
  • Deep understanding of closed-loop control for power converters and compensator design.
  • Experience with high-speed or high-power semiconductor devices, particularly power converter designs over 100kVA in medium voltage applications.
  • Strong technical knowledge, competence, and system-level design experience.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple electrical projects involving analog and digital electronics, as well as control circuitry.
  • Experience in EMI filter design and product qualification/compliance testing.
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation tools like SIMULINK.
  • Skills in derating, FMEA, and reliability analysis.
  • Excellent circuit debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience in writing technical documents such as hardware requirements, product design specifications, test specifications, and board-level design details.
  • Strong knowledge of component selection and system integration.
  • Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience mentoring small teams with strong decision-making capabilities and the ability to work effectively in an agile product development model.
