Senior Battery Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Battery Systems Engineer to design and implement battery-based energy storage systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge BESS systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical designs for battery-based energy storage systems, including PCS, BMS, EMS, and SCADA designs.
  • Review technical documents and installations in the USA to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Evaluate vendor-supplied documents for BESS systems.
  • Prepare FAT and integration test plans for BESS systems.
  • Manage bids and projects throughout their life cycle.
  • Conduct electrical testing using appropriate PPE and procedures.
  • Attend training sessions on equipment provided by manufacturers and approved by managers.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems).
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a relevant field. Candidates with a Ph.D. in similar fields are also welcome.
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, analytical, planning, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Client management, team management, and process management skills.
  • Familiarity with other electrical and PV software is an added advantage.
