Job Title: Information Security Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Specialist to join our IT Security team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the security of our computer networks and IT assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain the security of computer networks and IT assets
  • Install, operate, and maintain security software
  • Resolve, report, and document any security issues or breaches
  • Assist with incident response and triage alerts generated by other security systems
Requirements
  • Familiarity with IT security trends and concepts, including firewalls, proxies, malware, phishing, SIEM, antivirus, and IDS & IPS
  • Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in multiple IT systems, with a focus on generalist skills rather than specializing in a single system
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of centralized log management, SIEM, email protection, identity services applications, web and network protection tools, and cloud productivity environment maintenance
  • Experience with Linux servers and security scanning tools
  • Certification in information security

Possible areas of interest:

  • Improving the configuration of our centralized log and alert management systems
  • Developing and training a newly formed security team
  • Suggesting and researching security enhancements
