Information Security Specialist

This role is responsible for identifying and mitigating potential security threats, implementing industry best practices, and participating in the review and resolution of opportunities from both internal and external IT security audits.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Information Security, experience with Splunk Enterprise and Enterprise Security, and excellent analytical and presentation skills.
Responsibilities:- Investigate and respond to security alerts in a timely manner.
- Create new correlation rules and dashboards to improve security use cases.
- Work with customers to gather requirements and propose use cases for Splunk.
- Perform administration activities in Splunk including integration of log sources and troubleshooting issues.
- Assist and train team members on how to investigate and respond to various security threats.
- Manage and support a wide range of security technologies including SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Scanners, Identity and Access Management, Data Loss Prevention, and Cloud Security.
- Participate in security solution design and consultation.
- Escalate incidents and security remediation as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or an equivalent field.
- 4+ years of working experience in Information Security.
- Experience with Splunk Enterprise and Enterprise Security.
- Strong understanding of security threats and mitigation strategies.
- Ability to create incident response procedures and demonstrate excellent response to critical incidents.
- Certification in Splunk or CEH is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, presentation, customer service, and facilitation skills.
