IT Security Leader

The IT Application Owner is responsible for ensuring the application and its infrastructure meet the required security standards and are compliant with regulations.

This role involves applying and enabling IT policies and procedures throughout the application lifecycle, considering IT management and information security. The ITAO ensures a clear separation of responsibilities within the project to achieve a safe and secure application environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing current and proposed systems for compliance with organizational obligations and adherence to overall strategy.
  • Providing specialist advice to those accountable for governance to correct compliance issues.
  • Communicating information security risks and issues to business managers and others.
  • Performing basic risk assessments for small systems.
  • Contributes to vulnerability assessments.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Understanding technical publication concepts, tools, and methods and the way in which these are used.
  • Using agreed procedures to publish content.
  • Obtaining and analyzing usage data and presenting it effectively.
  • Applying principles of usability and accessibility to published information.

The ideal candidate will have experience in IT Service Management, IT Governance, or IT Project Management, with excellent communication and presentation skills. They should be comfortable working in VUCA environments and have a rounded knowledge of all the following Information Security processes:

  • Application and Infrastructure Security
  • Identity and Access Management
  • Information Security Incident and Problem Management
  • Information Security Governance for Business and Technology
  • Information Security Risk Management

They will also have expertise in DB Information Security Principles, Policies, and Procedures, as well as profound experience in business and IT processes and respective Information Security requirements.
