Network Security Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer with expertise in Palo Alto Networks Firewalls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, implement and manage robust network security solutions utilizing Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
  • Implement and enforce network security policies and best practices to protect organizational data and infrastructure from cyber threats.
  • Perform advanced analysis, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of complex network and security issues related to Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Continuously monitor firewall logs and security alerts, responding promptly to security incidents and potential breaches.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, and health checks of firewall infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and stability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network security documentation, including network diagrams, security policies, and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong, hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (Next-Generation Firewalls - NGFW).
  • Solid understanding of core networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, VLANs, and network segmentation.
  • In-depth knowledge of network security principles, threat landscapes, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPN technologies, and access control.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex network traffic, logs, and system events to pinpoint and resolve security and connectivity issues.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) are highly advantageous.
