Cloud Data Engineer Job Description

This is a challenging opportunity to work as a Cloud Data Engineer and play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining data infrastructure and pipelines on the Google Cloud Platform.

  • We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Data Engineer with strong knowledge of GCP services, especially Big Query, data warehouse concepts, and experience in cloud technologies.

The ideal candidate will have experience in data and analytics, including cloud technologies, and a strong analytical and interpersonal communication skillset.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Data engineering and pipeline development using GCP services like Big Query, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer
  • Designing and implementing scalable data architectures and systems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain data products
  • Ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with regulations
  • Maintaining and improving existing data infrastructure and pipelines

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of GCP services, especially Big Query and data warehouse concepts
  • Experience in data and analytics, including cloud technologies
  • Experience of Finance/Revenue domain will be an added advantage
  • Experience with GCP Migration activities will be an added advantage
  • Experience in SDLC with emphasis on specifying, building, and testing mission-critical business applications
  • Should have worked on Hadoop/Big data project and good SQL, Hive, Big Query experience
  • Should be comfortable with git, Jenkins CI/CD
  • Should be good in Python/Hadoop/Spark

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Client-facing experience
  • Proficient in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems
  • Impressive analytical, interpersonal communication skills
