Job Title: Data Engineer - Cloud and Analytics

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data platforms using cloud-based technologies. This role requires strong technical skills, including proficiency in Python, SQL, and data warehousing concepts.

The ideal candidate will have experience with ETL tools, such as Informatica PowerCenter, and a strong understanding of database systems, including DB2 and Snowflake. Additionally, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data platforms using cloud-based technologies.
  2. Develop complex ETLs with Informatica PowerCenter.
  3. Perform data profiling and technical analysis on source system data.
  4. Monitor the performance of queries and data loads and perform tuning as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field required.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in data development and solutions in highly complex data environments with large data volumes.
  • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Python a plus.
  • Experience with developing data transformations using DBT a plus.
  • Experience with Snowflake a plus.
  • Experience with Airflow a plus.
  • Experience with using Spark (PySpark) for data loading and complex transformations a plus.
