Job Opportunity: Automotive Smart Plant Consultant

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in establishing, stabilizing, and optimizing manufacturing processes utilizing Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) and Industry 4.0 concepts to drive efficiency, quality, and innovation in the production shop floor.

Industry Expertise: Automotive / EV (including Battery Pack Assembly); Gigafactory (Cell Manufacturing)

Required Experience: 7-13 years

Key Responsibilities:

  • MES capability assessment and formulation of functional architecture and requirements.
  • Evaluation of MES platforms based on fitment across various strategic, financial, and functional pillars
  • Familiarity with MES tools such as Siemens, NEXEED, PTC, or Dassault is an added advantage.
  • Identify areas for improvement, mine digital use cases, and develop strategies to enhance production efficiency, quality, and reduce costs.
  • Counsel clients on automation, IoT, and data analytics in the manufacturing space.
  • Familiarity with IoT platforms like Insights Hub, Azure, AWS, etc., is an added advantage.
  • Utilize data analytics to extract insights from production data, make data-driven decisions, and help manage performance indicators.

  • A thought leader who can demonstrate deep industry knowledge and innovation in manufacturing through perspectives and assets.
  • A strong business development appetite while scanning market movements and creating opportunities for growth.
  • Strong project management abilities with effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Production Management, Business Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • An MBA from a top-tier institute is not mandatory but highly valued.
  • Proven experience in the Battery or EV OEM or consulting industry in the Smart Plant vertical.
