Job Role

As a highly skilled Scrap Metal Trader, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and closing deals while staying ahead of market trends and fluctuations. Your excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

  • Sourcing: Identify and source scrap metal from various suppliers, including industrial manufacturers, demolition companies, and recycling facilities.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers and buyers to maximize profitability.
  • Sales: Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients while seeking out new business opportunities.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends and regulatory changes affecting the scrap metal industry.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the transportation and logistics of scrap metal shipments.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and environmental standards governing the scrap metal trading industry.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in scrap metal trading, with a strong network of industry contacts.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of market dynamics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with trading software and platforms.
