Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to direct and control physical activities in our yard, vessel, and terminal operations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving targets, ensuring safety, and promoting teamwork. Key responsibilities include:

  • DIRECTING PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: To direct and control the physical activities in Yard, Vessel, Road Queue, ship arrivals, and general terminal housekeeping and cleanliness.
  • Achieving Operational Targets: To work towards achieving the operations KPI.
  • Ensuring Safety: To ensure all staffs wear proper PPE and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Effective Container Handling: To ensure all the OOG containers are handled with proper gears without delay.
  • Safe Working Practices: To ensure lashers following buddy system while working at pinning/unpinning/onboard/fixing slings/man cage/ladder, etc.
  • Incident-Free Shift: To ensure safety and achieve an incident-free shift.
  • Onboard Headcount: To check the lashers/checkers onboard headcount randomly.
  • Team Leadership: To ensure that all personnel under your control effectively perform their tasks in achieving daily operational requirements.
  • Liaising with Clients: In compliance with policy liaise with clients and other bodies to ensure that close cooperation and goodwill is maintained between the company and outside interests.
  • Communication: To be able to communicate with a high degree of self-control and effectiveness and ensure that company policy is implemented in practice.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: To exercise leadership, promote teamwork, and ensure that direct reports as well as employees under their area adheres to Company policy.
  • Feedback and Problem-Solving: To provide feedback as required, relating to operational matters and to discuss problems and changes of procedures to enhance efficiency, Safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Any other duties as advised or informed by your superior.

Requirements and Skills:

We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • TOS/Zodiac knowledge preferred.
  • Equipment operation knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • LMV license and driving experience.
