Legal Associate Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Legal Associate to provide expert advice on debt fund-raising and structuring transactions. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of reviewing and negotiating equity, or debt transactions documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Advising the business teams on debt fund-raising and structuring transactions, including research and negotiation with external stakeholders.
  2. Structuring, negotiating, and finalizing debt fund-raise documents, including term loans, debentures, and securitization.
  3. Providing transaction advisory support for investments.
  4. Reviewing and negotiating service agreements, vendor contracts, employment agreements, consultancy agreements, NDAs, admin-related contracts, etc.
  5. Advising the business teams on regulatory environments relevant to the BFSI sector.
  6. Advising on other general corporate commercial matters for the MoneyView Group.
  7. Managing internal stakeholders, negotiating with external stakeholders, and liaising with consultants, advisors, and outside counsel to manage multiple projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Law degree from a recognized, well-ranked university.
  • Between 2-3 years of relevant PQE.
  • Experience in reviewing and negotiating equity, or debt transactions documents.
  • Experience in legal drafting, research, and negotiation of commercial contracts.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with an ability to work and take considered decisions.
  • Experience working with the corporate, transactions, or banking practice at a corporate law firm is preferred.
  • The candidate should be able to work independently and exercise sound and practical judgment.
