Job Description

The Head of Accounts and Finance will lead the entire accounts and finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, effective cash flow management, and strategic financial planning.

  • Financial Management and Strategy:
  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting process to optimize cost, improve margins, and enhance profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance against business goals and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Accounts and Reporting:
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations and oversee accounting team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting standards.
  • Treasury and Working Capital Management:
  • Manage cash flows, banking operations, and fund utilization efficiently.
  • Oversee working capital management, credit control, and debtor management.
  • Build strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors for fund raising and project financing.
  • Cost Control and MIS:
  • Implement effective cost accounting systems and monitor production-related costs.
  • Develop and present periodic MIS reports to management for financial performance tracking.
  • Support business units with financial analysis to aid in pricing, costing, and investment decisions.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and mentor the accounts and finance team, ensuring skill development and high performance.
  • Establish strong internal controls and processes across the department.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements

Qualifications: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).

Experience: 8-15 year's post CA qualification experience in Accounts and Finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in manufacturing (preferably metals/steel sector).

Skills: Strong expertise in financial reporting, statutory compliance, cost control, and treasury management. Proven track record in handling audits, liaising with banks, and managing working capital. Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
