Iron Ore Procurement Specialist

At our organization, we are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee iron ore procurement operations. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the industry, hands-on experience in trading and procurement, and exceptional negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities- Source high-quality iron ore from miners, traders, and suppliers, including lumps, fines, and pellets.
- Negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery terms with vendors to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Coordinate logistics, including port operations, warehousing, and shipping, to maintain seamless supply chain operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and excellent customer service.
- Monitor global and domestic market trends to inform pricing and strategy decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including trade agreements and mining laws.
- Manage documentation, including contracts, customs paperwork, and shipping records, to minimize errors and delays.
- Prepare and present management information reports, track trade profit and loss, and provide timely updates to senior management.
- A graduate degree in any field.
- 5-10 years of proven experience in iron ore trading and procurement, with a strong understanding of iron ore grades, mining operations, and logistics.
- Knowledge of trade regulations and clearances is highly desirable.
