The Alumni Relations Officer plays a pivotal role in fostering lifelong connections between alumni, students, faculty, and the institution. This position is responsible for conceptualizing, executing, and managing the Alumni Engagement Strategy to leverage alumni expertise for student development and placements, and enhance the reputation and brand equity of the institution.

About the Role:

  • Alumni Engagement & Relationship Management:
    • This involves building, nurturing, and strengthening long-term relationships with alumni across batches, programs, and geographies.
    • Maintaining and updating a comprehensive alumni database with structured segmentation (industry, geography, domain, seniority).
    • Designing and implementing structured engagement models (mentorship programs, alumni councils, networking forums, digital communities).
  • Event & Program Management:
    • Organizing alumni reunions, networking meets, HR/Industry conclaves, and regional/global alumni chapter events.
    • Planning and executing mentorship programs connecting alumni with current students for career guidance and industry insights.
    • Collaborating with academic departments to involve alumni in guest lectures, panel discussions, and student development initiatives.
  • Strategic Outreach & Communication:
    • Developing and managing consistent alumni communication (newsletters, magazines, social media engagement, alumni portal updates).
    • Showcasing alumni success stories to strengthen institutional brand and inspire current students.
    • Establishing an alumni volunteer system for structured participation in institutional events and outreach.
  • Placement & Institutional Development Support:
    • Actively leveraging alumni network for internship, live project, and final placement opportunities.
    • Engaging senior alumni for corporate connect introductions and institutional collaborations.
    • Supporting fundraising, sponsorships, and endowment initiatives through alumni contributions.
  • Data Analytics & Reporting:
    • Tracking alumni engagement KPIs (event participation, mentorship hours, placement support, contributions).
    • Providing leadership with reports, dashboards, and impact analysis on alumni engagement initiatives.
