Job Title: Chief Operations Officer

A key role exists to support the team in ensuring timely compliance to rules on behalf of brands required to fulfill their Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) targets for plastic and e-waste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance of brands with existing rules and regulations
  • Maintain standardized formats according to government, brand, or Recykal requirements
  • Document collections and verification as per commitment given to brands
  • Proactive follow-ups with key brands and stakeholders associated with Recykal
  • Monitor compliance-related documentation with a keen eye for details
  • Manage multiple teams on-field and off-field
  • Optimize team efficiency by building optimized processes of completions
  • Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
  • Pursue strategic and operational objectives
  • Ensure operational activities remain on time and within defined expectations
  • Track staffing requirements and hire new employees as needed
  • Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including setup and implementation of career development plans for all direct reports and problem resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional support teams to improve process implementation
  • Work closely with legal and safety departments to ensure activities remain compliant

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience handling operations
  • Past experience in waste management field is advantageous
  • Ability to work efficiently and on multiple projects at once
  • Strong interpersonal skills with solid ability to persuade others, build consensus, and work in a team
