Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our database migration projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for migrating schema, data, stored procedures, and triggers from Oracle to PostgreSQL.

With a strong background in database management and a keen eye for detail, you will ensure seamless transitions and resolve any compatibility issues that arise during the cross-platform migration process.

You will work closely with our development team to analyze business logic and convert it to PostgreSQL-compatible code. Your expertise in database migration tools and techniques will be invaluable in streamlining our processes and improving efficiency.

Requirements
  • Hands-on experience in Oracle to PostgreSQL database migration projects
  • Proficient in migrating schema, data, stored procedures, and triggers
  • Strong experience working with PostgreSQL database features and performance tuning
  • Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL for analyzing and converting business logic to PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of database migration tools and techniques
  • Ability to handle compatibility issues during cross-platform migrations
  • Experience troubleshooting and validating data consistency post-migration
  • Familiar with rewriting Oracle-specific constructs for PostgreSQL environment
  • Worked on real-time database migration projects end-to-end
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills in SQL and database-level issues
