Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Information Modelling (BIM) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and implementing BIM strategies, with a strong focus on quality assurance and process improvement.

About the Role

  • Develop and oversee BIM strategies for select projects, ensuring seamless collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Liaise closely with BIM Leadership to develop pilot projects and drive innovation in BIM implementation.
  • Supervise project staff and processes related to BIM for project controls, promoting efficiency and productivity.
  • Cultivate enthusiasm and drive automation processes to streamline workflows.
  • Coordinate complete model life cycle development and functionality (3D, 4D, and 5D), integrating models and visualizations for presentations and reporting construction progress.
  • Review and validate construction models, including 4D/5D contractor model submittals.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 years of total experience, with at least 10+ years in Electrical Substations (Plant) and 5+ years in UK substations (Plant).
  • Good understanding of common data environment platforms (BIM 360, ACC, ProjectWise).
  • Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in managing a team of BIM modellers and international delivery preferably in the UK.
  • Familiarity with 3D models for visualization, Design exposure to 4D models linked to project schedules, and 5D models to support estimating efforts.
  • Development of BIM execution plans and good collaboration skills, presentation, and communication skills.
