Lead Risk Analytics Consultant

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Analytics Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Credit Risk Intelligence and Transformation (CRIT) team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Credit Business Intelligence (Credit BI) team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead complex initiatives related to business analysis and modeling, including those that are cross-functional, with broad impact.
- Review and analyze complex programming models to extract data and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling specific to businesses supported.
- Manage the rollout of pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models for supported businesses and product lines.
- Make decisions in complex product strategies, data modeling, and risk exposure, requiring a solid understanding of business unit projects and regulatory responses, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, less experienced to more experienced managers, to resolve production, project, and regulatory issues, and achieve risk analysts and common modeling goals.
- Lead projects, teams, and mentor junior consultants.
- 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- 5+ years of professional experience using SQL to query large databases to produce data-driven reports.
- Credit risk experience, preferably commercial credit risk at a large financial institution, experience using Microsoft PowerBI to produce dashboard reports.
- Demonstrated advanced skills using Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence and analytics solutions, such as Tableau, Dremio, Python.
- Ability to mentor junior consultants and lead project teams.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Strong ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas.
